On Saturday, September 13, Kababayang Pilipino will be performing at the 3rd Annual New Moon Festival in beautiful Gibsons, B.C.
Kababayang Pilipino will be one aspect of the many Asian performances highlighted to perform in this celebration of Asian arts and culture.
The annual New Moon Festival provides an opportunity for Asians living on the coast to display pride in their heritage. For the community at large, the New Moon will be entertaining, informative and fun for all ages. As always, local artists and artisans will exhibit their unique work while the community can enjoy lantern-making and Asian crafts for all ages. The lantern procession will commence just after dusk, followed by a world premiere production by Mind of a Snail Shadow Puppetry. A variety of Asian food will be available for sale, so dress for the weather and spend the day!
The New Moon Festival will take place at Dougall Park in Gibsons, B.C. on Saturday, September 13, from noon ‘til dusk.
Admission is $5+ (sliding scale), children under 12 years of age are free.
Donations for the Food-Bank are kindly accepted.
