Melanie Losanez has been involved in local community activities and functions for the past 17 years. Since being crowned Miss Philippine Independence in the mid 90’s, she vowed to give back to the Filipino community as much as possible, be it through song or dance. Melanie joined Kababayang Pilipino in 1998 and, although her original dance background is hip hop, she enjoys Filipino Cultural dance so much that she may never look back. She is looking forward to being more involved in the ‘background’ aspects of the group and their productions. Here’s to many more years of dancing ahead!
